Reference: Charity Metal Detecting Rally donation

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Mr Donald Muir and I am the treasurer of the Lune Valley Metal Detecting Club, based in Lancaster.

The club holds several detecting rallies throughout the year, where the landowner selects their chosen charity, to receive circa 80% of the detecting gate monies and our members get the opportunity to detect on specific land for the day.

Whilst the club rallies are usually reasonably large events, we occasionally get an opportunity to hold a smaller club dig, often at short notice.

One such opportunity presented itself earlier this month, when the Great Eccleston Agricultural Show Organising Committee kindly allowed us to hold a small club dig on their showground, following their 2024 Summer show season.

The Great Eccleston show Committee elected that the club dig proceeds should be donated to the North West Air Ambulance, in their name.

As per their request, please find enclosed a cheque for £330, to support your organisation’s important work.

We hope that more landowners choose your organisation for their rally donations in the future.
